Indore: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, recently unveiled a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College’s Super Specialty Hospital, as well as inaugurated a newly constructed (G+2) block at Government Dental College, at a cost of around Rs 6 crore. Supplied by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the advanced CT scan machine is expected to greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. Yadav officially opened the CT scan room by cutting the ribbon and offering prayers, while also receiving a detailed briefing on the machine's features. The Chief Minister was informed that the new building, built by the Public Works Department, addresses space concerns highlighted by the Dental Council of India during their inspections. Additionally, the state government is setting up an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefiting both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as outpatients.
CM Yadav emphasized that these new medical facilities demonstrate the state's commitment to improving healthcare services, with the advanced CT scan machine enabling early disease detection and accurate diagnoses. Furthermore, the new building at the dental college will provide world-class facilities to dental students. During his visit to Indore, Yadav also visited the under-construction ISBT at MR-10, expected to be operational by December. He announced that Indore will soon house India's largest inter-state bus terminal, designed like an airport, which will serve as a significant landmark for the city and the state, enhancing the state's infrastructure.The new ISBT terminal, built at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA, is set to improve the travel experience for passengers, especially with the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering in mind. This 15-acre facility is equipped to handle up to 80,000 passengers daily, with accommodations for 1,440 buses operating around the clock. The ISBT boasts amenities such as 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various other services. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and assured employees at the Sanchi Dairy Plant in Indore that there would be no layoffs. The MP government is committed to strengthening the state's dairy sector and supporting dairy cooperatives. Another highlight was the unveiling of the statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi in the city forest, honoring her community's environmental conservation efforts. During the visit to Indore, the CM also received blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which has conducted blood tests for approximately 50,000 people.
